Brigit Heller

Based in Central Victoria, my work broadly focuses on the concept of recycling, transformation and form. I am a keen observer of the natural as well as the manmade environment. Being acutely aware of the disconnect between the built and natural environment, I create experiences for my audience that are designed to reconnect with details that invite closer engagement. My arts practice explores a variety of traditional art and craft techniques and processes. I love working with different metals – exploring the inherent contradiction of resistance and malleability the material does offer.
