My work is largely figurative often auto biographical, exploring themes like sexuality, sensuality, isolation, courage and vulnerability. The images are deeply personal but I am driven by how connected we are as humans through common fears and desires.

I have built up a selection of personal iconographic visual symbols over the years, that have regularly resurfaced, at various points in time within in my work that help create the narrative that tells my own story, however, what motivates me to share my work is listening to what others bring to the table when responding to the work.

I am inspired by the realisation that others are often moved by the images, sometimes seemingly from a similar emotional thread as the one that I drove the creation of the work but often by a new completely new and unexpected perspective as the viewer brings their own experiences and visual language into the narrative.

I have maintained a studio practice for 34 years, focusing largely on Printmaking and Painting in oils. I have exhibited in many groups shows and numerous solo exhibitions, most recently at the Brunswick Street Gallery in a solo show of paintings and at 69 Smith street Collingwood , an exhibition of Lino prints . My work is in many private collections and the print collection of the Art gallery of SA.
