CROSSCURRENTS OF TRAVEL AND TIME
An exhibition of merged photo and painting based media by Micky Allan and Steenus von Steensen.
"In this body of work we have continued to blend and merge media usually kept apart, in particular photography and painting, but also found objects in often-humorous association with ‘serious’ works of art. Boundaries blur: between our sensibilities, series made at different ‘times’, and places we have travelled to and from over recent years."
Micky Allan is a renowned artist with work in many of Australia's major institutions including The National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, The National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo, the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney, The National Gallery of Victoria, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, as well as in various corporate collections including Baillieu-Myer Foundation, Allen Allen & Hemsley, Baker and McKenzie, Mallesons Stephen Jacques, Vitrex-Camden, and Philip Morris.
